ELECTRICAL MATERIALS

Yes, we do. Conatel is the most renowned brand of VIVION S.A. This brand is commercialized in a large number of markets. It is important to point out that CONATEL S.A., the company VIVION S.A. spun off, keeps conducting their businesses under their historical name.

VIVION has a wide range of products which meet the needs of a very wide range of markets. In case we do not carry a specific product, our Design Department in coordination with Export Office will develop a product according to a country?s specific needs.

VIVION has a large distribution network where our products can be purchased. Anyway, if you have consultations or queries with respect to our products you can phone or email our "Contact" section.

All our basic lines are available under CONATEL brand name at most hardware stores carrying electrical or construction materials. The most sophisticated lines are available at specific points of sale. Contact us and we will tell you which place is closer to you.

Our plates fit all flush mounted boxes with 2x4? format, which is used in Uruguay and in most parts of the world.

We have several wallplate lines with a wide palette: Duomo Flat, Loft, Duomo and Presta.

It means that the socket has internal protection blockers which block the passage of any object children might insert. These blockers or shutters are folded back only when an electrical plug is inserted.

LIGHTING

THE CORRECT CHOICE OF A LAMP: FACTORS TO CONSIDER.

A lamp must conform to aesthetic, functional and economic needs. Below we list a series of criteria to keep in mind to make the right choice.

a) Selection of a lamp according to its use:

  • General lighting
For general household lighting lamps, LEDs lamps can be used in replacement of incandescent lamps (light bulbs) in this use. At offices, LED tubes and LED panel light provide adequate and efficient general lighting.

  • Lighting to accentuate
Lamps to accent lighting are those with a directed beam, such as halogen dichroic lamps, LED dichroic and LED AR111 format.

  • Visible lamp
When the lamp is an element exposed in a luminary, there is certainly an aesthetically matching solution. In certain cases may be the most appropriate a bulb, candle or round bulb kind.

  • According to the existing luminary

Base: check the type of base that the luminary’s lampholder has.
Power: check the maximum power (watts or W) the luminary supports so as to choose a lamp which is not higher than its value.
Voltage: check whether the lamp requires a voltage transformer, according to the voltage indicated on the package (Volts, or V).
Space: choose a lamp whose size is suitable to your luminary.

b) Temperature

  • Light temperature: Light temperature is connected with the “psychological image” of light perception. Lights can be classified as warm, neutral and cold.

More precisely, these effects of light are defined by using "color temperature", which represents the temperature at which a blackbody would cast light of a similar spectral composition. It is expressed in Kelvin degrees (K). Warm lights correspond to low temperatures of color and cold lights to higher color temperatures.

  • Ra color rendering index
The ability of a light source to reproduce colors is measured with the concept of color rendering index (Ra). It is defined as the chromatic aspect bodies have when they are illuminated compared to the chromatic aspect they would have under the light of an incandescent light bulb (Ra=100).

A light Ra=100 source displays all colors correctly, the lower the index, the worse the color reproduction.

c) Lighting needs

  • Light intensity
It is essential for the lamp to deliver enough light.

Lamps of different types and powers deliver different amounts of light. The magnitude that will guide you better in this issue is called Luminous Flux. It is the radiant energy from a light source that produces a luminous sensation perceived by the human eye. It is represented by the Greek letter F (fi) and its unit is lumen (lm).

As a reference, we present a table with some sources? luminous flows:
Light output of some light sources

d) Energy saving

  • Luminous efficiency
If you want to economize on energy costs, use more efficient lamps.
Efficiency or luminous efficiency of a light source indicates the flow that it casts per unit of power consumed for producing such flow.
Energy efficiency is a broader concept and can be defined as the reduction of energy consumption while maintaining the same energy services, without diminishing our comfort and quality of life, protecting the environment, ensuring the supply and fostering its use sustainable behavior.

e) Lamps useful life

  • Quality
A lamp’s useful life primarily depends on its quality and the quality of the voltage supply.

  • Type of lamp
Each lamp’s technology determines different useful life times, which differ depending on usage time and the number of times it is turned on and off.

LED lamps are made of light emitting diodes. To reach a light intensity similar to that of incandescent bulbs which this new technology tends to replace, LED lamps have a greater or lesser number of pills of diodes, oriented in different directions, each providing light in only one direction. After several performance evaluations, VIVION has chosen for their LED lamps, pills of diodes designed and manufactured by a prestigious and renowned Korean company, the global leading company in this technology, in the most varied applications.

It has already been tested that lamps made with this lighting technology are the best for maximizing environmental care, throughout their complete life cycle, from the very beginning, meaning the extraction of raw material, manufacturing process, and final disposal. Needless to say, this is not the case of any LED lamp, but only for those whose components and manufacturing process meet enough quality and durability requirements

VIVION has a large distribution network where our products can be purchased. However, any consultations or queries with respect to our products can be asked by phone or email at our Contact section.

Smart Home

a. Please check that the product is correctly connected to the power. b. Make sure your cell phone and Smart producto are connected to the same 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network. c. Make sure that there is a good internet connection signal. d. Make sure that the Wi-Fi network key entered in the App is correct. e. In case of installations, check that the product is correctly wired.

You can continue controlling the connected appliances in the usual way. When the Wi-Fi signal returns, smart products will automatically reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

It will be necessary to delete the smart products from the App and reconfigure them following the steps indicated in the product manual to connect them to the new Wi-Fi network.

Turn the switch on and off 5 times until the light (or connected load) does not turn off for a few seconds. Once the light (or connected load) turns off the module / device enters “pairing mode” (indicator light flashes) for 3 minutes. If the procedure does not work, try again.

Most of your electrical appliances can be controlled with these modules / devices (e.g. lamps, electrical stoves, coffee maker, washing machine, etc).

Press the module once and the lamps turns off. Then press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the lamps connected to the module starts to blink and enters “pairing mode”. If the procedure does not work, try again.

Any kind of lamp be it incandescent or dimmable led can be controlled by these module / device.

Press the roller shutter button 5 times until the indicator light blinks rapidly and enter “pairing mode”. If the procedure does not work, try again.

Any kind of automated blind or curtain can be controlled by these module / device.
